Fat Fest and Wolfmen

This past weekend was a weekend of food and film. I had a pretty badass Taco Bell fat fest a couple days ago. It basically consisted of 6 crispy potato tacos, 2 bean and cheese burritos, 5 crunchy tacos, 3 soft tacos, and a large root beer; all with a combination of hot and mild sauce to complete the Taco Bellness of the fest. It was definitely a filling meal after a long day of work, well, not necessarily a long day cause it was a chill day, but a day of work nonetheless.

I also watched Wolfman this weekend and to be honest it was fairly disappointing. Wolfman was supposed to be a throwback and a faithful adaptation of the oldschool Wolfman movie, but they totally dropped the ball in my opinion. Not only was the movie pretty slow, but the scares weren’t legitimate scares. They were jump scared where a sudden loud noise a figure jumps across or towards the screen. Worse was that if you’re an avid watcher of horror type films, you can basically anticipate when the scares would be. Also, the transformation visuals weren’t as polished as they should have been and the plot wasn,t fully fleshed out. I’m probably going to watch the movie again to give it another shot and because I don’t have to pay for it. For those of you that do pay for your movie tickets, be warned that this might be disappointing if you expect it to be a new age in horror.
