Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale
Alright so Oaked Arrogant Bastard isn't for the faint of heart. It's an American strong ale and is definitely more for serious beer drinkers. Be warned if you're used to cheaper beers or weaker tasting beers this is going to be an utter shock to your system. It has a very very strong flavor to it and that usually surprises people that don't expect it. It pours out and has an off white head that isn't too heavy. It also pours with a reddish brown tint and has a slight floral oak smell with a hint of hops. It has a strong bitter taste to it and you definitely taste the oak essence that its infused with. After the initial hit is finishes with a slight caramel aftertaste that lets it go through smoothly. Great beer and it's a must try if you can take it
24 Season 4
24 Season 4 was another great season in the franchise. It's the season with the Secretary of Defense kidnapping that turned to a race to find a nuke. It had all the 24 fixings that made the series notable. Twists and turns were aplenty although there wasn't really anyone new that was hot this season. Audrey is not a looker but at least Michelle was there so that gave me all I needed in the looks department. But yea...24 hasn't disappointed me from the seasons that I have seen. I'm going to rewatch season 5 next and from what I remember it was pretty good and then im gonna move on the the seasons that I missed cause of college...wish me luck...
Reminds me of my first time....
Today was a pretty good day. Woke up and did my CRWT homework then I jammed off to work. Work was definitely good today minus a few hitches. I ushered with Kev, Chels, Mario, and Tarah at first with Cesar on the floor. That went smooth as usual. Kev and Tarah got out and Brenda, Solis, and Karina came in. Concession ended up jacking Brenda and Karina and we lost Chels to restroom checks. It was still smooth for the most part minus the random hit but it's all good. I had a foody break though. I had chicken tenders and a pepperoni pizza with jalapeƱos. They hit the spot. After work I met up with Kev, Caydie, Chels, and Carissa in the lot and I break out the guitar. Solis was there too and he jammed for a little bit before jamming out. We then hit up Sonics for some late night food. I had the Popcorn Chicken with jalapeƱos and a Route 44 Cherry Limeade. Shit was good. Had a great convo that covered everything and anything. I came home to a double double too...that's how you end a night hahaha

That's what she said....
Today was a good day. It was also a long day. I woke up like around noonish and instantly started to get ready for tonight festivities. There was still a little bit of time so I made a quick run to Best Buy in Fullerton and bought the Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch graphics tablet. Definitely worth the $110 I spent on it. I'm gonna be rocking Photoshop CS5 once I get free time to start working on art stuff again. A week and a half and I'm free. Right when I got back me and my parents jammed out to Granada for Lanzy's debut. Got there and I was the only one of the cousins to be there at the time so I felt out of place around all the little "children" so I just worked on my chapbook assignment for CRWT56. Dana and her family get there and I was finally in my element with my age group. Basically the local fambam was there minus Joanna cause she was out of the area. Even Kae was there as was Sofrito and Uncle Robin and Tita Sol. Shit was legit cause I never get too see them anymore. Oh Uncle Ding and his kids showed up too. Fuuuuck....Kyle, Denise, and Shane are biiiig now. I still remember when Kyle and Denise were born. So yea...Laker game was on today too. That became a family wide event cause what do you expect from my fambam? We all huddled around the TV together to cheer on the purple and gold. As expected we won and we advance to the finals and take the Western Conference title. Lots of chilling ensued. That's what she saids flew around, spazzy Sofrito made us lough, pictures, expired beer, and apparently I was one of the flowers for the debut...or in this case a lei. That took me off guard but it's all good hahaha. Definitely a good night. Oh, finished it off by watching several 24 season 3 episodes to finish it off....

Spoons and Forks
Yesterday I basically spent the bulk of my day working on shit. I woke up and went to The Hub with Sana to work on my programming assignment. After that i took him home and hit up Best Buy before work to try and get a graphics tablet but they didn't have the one I wanted in stock so I skipped out on it for now. They I went to work where I ushers with Ryan, Gus, Sarah, Hernan, and a new girl. It was pretty damn chill all day so nothing to complain about there. After that I helped Gus close and waited to hear back from Mindy who was at the movies but I never heard form her so I jammed out. When I was in the lot I ran into Bishop and Chelsea who were apparently waiting for me for a Denny's run so we go and meet up with Geoff there. I had my usual French Toast Slam with a Root Beer. Hilarity ensued all night and I have it on video....don't worry Chels I won't post it up...yet hahahaha. After we jammed out of Denny's I spent all night working on my programming assignment...fml

Prince of Persia
What can I honestly say about this movie? It's entertaining for the most part. Alright, here's the god honest truth. I went into the movie expecting utter shit but I walked out amused. It's far from being a great movie, but it's definitely not a bad one. It's a decent action movie that takes ALOT of inspiration from The Mummy and Scorpion King movies. There's nothing too unique about this movie and it doesn't really put forth anything new to the table, but it's entertaining and that's all you can really ask for. The similarities are uncanny but what can you do about it. This is definitely also one of the best movies based on videogames ever made but i still prefer the Resident Evils over this, but I liked this more than I liked Silent Hill. One really good thing about the movie is that you can really see the videogame mechanics at work in a lot of the scenes. The wall running in there, the rewind feature for when you fuck up is there, and the acrobatic shit is present and accounted for. Jake Gyllenhaal does fine and so does Gemma Arterton. I loved Gemma Arterton in this movie, but I'm definitely biased cause i think she's just stunning. She made Clash of the Titans worth watching for me and she really helped this movie along just cause I loved looking at her the whole time.

56 Project: FO
I was over 500 words over the 750 word limit…but I finished it 2 days early. Here it is…
If I visited Father’s Office again I would have gotten another Office Burger and more of the different beers like Alaskan White, Arrogant Bastard, Abyss, and others that I don’t remember. You can order regular beers like Coronas but why would you when you have the best craft and specialty beers on the west coast. Seriously, if you like beer, this is the place to be but the burger takes the cake. When I went, it was with my sister Joanna, and my cousins Dana and Chuck to celebrate my 21st birthday, which was, you guessed it, 21 years in the making and where better to commemorate my legalization to booze than a bar with arguably the best burgers in the nation, ranked. When we walked in, the smell of people, beer, and grill floored me. The ambience fit the locale perfectly with the dim lights giving everything a slight glow, the walls covered with countless taps of the massive beer selection—and I mean massive; ales, lager and everything in between. The place was jumping and was completely packed, like shoulder to shoulder guests. Everyone who’s anyone was there from young business men in suits spreading business cards to beer aficionados who slowly drank their brews while analyzing the consistency and longevity of the head. Even homosexuals were in attendance from the West Hollywood gays in cashmere sweaters and finely jujjed hair to the suburban gays in low cut V-necks with over stylized faux hawks. Ordering was a total bitch, screaming was a requirement, and that didn’t guarantee than anyone’s going to hear; just think taxi cab in New York and you get the idea. Outside was just as packed and was the only place with open tables. Everyone was huddled under the hot warmers that overlooked half the tables like a broiler and the rest were off in the corner, dark, desolate, and cold as fuck. We lucked out and found a table near a warmer so we were nice and toasty. I had two Office Burgers, sweet potato fries, and two tall glasses of the Port Brewing Midnight Sessions. I can’t stress this enough, the Office Burger is heaven on a platter—nirvana. The moment I started eating, everything disappeared; I was alone with the food, everybody around me melted away into the blur of the background leaving me with my beautiful bounty of delightful sustenance. The burger had fresh, crispy arugula over two week aged ground beef which was like having a cow slaughtered in shop to be served fresh. It was accented by onions with smoked bacon minced in and everything was cradled by crispy yet fluffy French bread that must have been baked fresh. After each mouthful of the burger followed a beefy aftertaste that dares you to continue eating but doing so was excruciating ‘cause it’s one bite closer to being finished. It also brought me farther from my cousins, who no longer existed—I was so focused on the intense flavors of the grubbage. I was flabbergasted to think I’ve missed out on burgers like this for so long. Gone are my days of McGriddles or Baconators that taste like mass produced tires, the Office Burger found a special place in my stomach. The burger went beautifully with the Midnight Sessions lager which poured straight from the tap in all its dark, full glory. It exuded the aroma of roasted malt and the flavor of pristine stouts, the sweetness hinting through the flavor of the roasted nuts and chocolate with the essence of hops just being noticeable. The mild carbonation allowed the complexity of the brew to shine uninterrupted making it seem like angel piss—ambrosia on Earth. Best of all is this is all served one way and one way only, the way that they make it; if you want it changed, get the fuck out. How do I know this? Someone asked for ketchup and the waitress just laughed and walked away; now that’s do or die service. What was once a full platter of food and glasses of beer, was reduced to an empty plate with traces of blood, juice, and crumbs. Once I was done, it was time to go and I missed out on most of the conversation because of the meal. I just spent whatever time I had remaining at the Office reminiscing about the burger knowing that I won’t be eating it too often to keep it special, as it deserves to be. I’m hooked.
